What an AI agent is
An AI agent is a language model that can call tools: small functions that look up a trip, check a balance or file a ticket. The tools give it facts from your systems, so its answers come from your data.
The difference from a plain chatbot is what happens before it answers. A chatbot writes from what it already knows. An agent checks your systems first, and can tell you which tool each fact came from.
Custom AI agents we have built
Every build below is labeled for what it is: client work, our own product, or a concept.
- Dispatch assistant (client work). For a NEMT dispatch platform, an assistant answers staff questions through ten read-only tools over live trip data.
- Finance agents (our own product). In Finora, two agents answer money questions through 16 tools, such as cash forecast, runway and receivables aging. They can only read the current workspace and must cite the tool behind each number.
- Safety assistant (our own product). In SiteGuard, a site-scoped assistant answers questions about alerts, trends, cameras, rules and investigations through ten read-only tools.
- Drafting with approval (client work). In an executive command center, an assistant turns a written brief into a proposed project plan. Nothing is saved until a person approves it.
- Concepts we can build for you. Reference designs for an AI receptionist, a support agent with human handoff and an invoice intake agent. We haven't built these for a client yet.
How we build agents that hold up in production
Logging, cost tracking, tests and human review are included in every build price.
- Tools over your data. Each tool does one narrow job and runs with the signed-in person's permissions.
- Human approval for actions. Anything that creates, edits or sends goes to a person first.
- Evaluation tests. We test the agent against questions with known answers. Finora's suite checks 20 advisor questions against answers verified in SQL.
- Logging. Every AI action is recorded: what was asked, which tools ran and what came back.
- Usage limits and cost tracking. Each request is metered, with limits per user or plan.
- Model choice. We use models from Anthropic and OpenAI through the Laravel AI SDK, and pick the one that fits your cost, speed and accuracy needs.

The software around the agent
An agent usually needs a place to live. We build that too, as one small team.
- Web platforms and admin consoles on Laravel and React, with AI built on the Laravel AI SDK
- Flutter mobile apps for iOS and Android that keep working without signal
- AI features added to an app you already have, wired into its data and permissions
How a project runs
Every project follows the same six steps.
- A 30-minute call. You tell us the workflow and what it costs you today.
- Scope or audit. If the scope is clear, we write it up. If not, the two-week, $950 AI Workflow Audit maps the workflow and checks your data.
- Fixed quote. You meet the engineers who will do the work and approve the price before we start.
- Build. You get a demo you can click every week and a short written update every working day.
- Launch and handover. Code lives in your repository from the first commit. Every build includes a bug-fix window.
- After launch. A monthly care plan covers model and API changes, prompt and evaluation upkeep, monitoring and small changes. Or you move to a dedicated developer.
Pricing for AI agent development
Our prices are published. You approve a fixed price before work starts and pay as milestones are demoed and accepted.
| Plan | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| AI Workflow Audit | $950 | One workflow mapped, build plan and fixed quote in two weeks |
| Feature Build | from $2,500 | One AI feature added to an app you already have |
| First AI Workflow | from $4,500 | One agent connected to your systems, with tools, tests, logging and handover |
| Extended Build | from $6,500 | More integrations, plus an admin console or a mobile app |
Dedicated developers cost $31 to $36 an hour, depending on contract length. Model and hosting costs are billed at cost, never marked up. See pricing for every plan and our guide to AI agent development cost for what moves the price.
Who we're a good fit for
We work best with teams that have a clear workflow costing time or money, data in systems we can reach, and someone who can decide quickly. We aren't a fit for equity-only offers, projects with no defined problem, or anything that has to launch next week.
Our team works UK and Gulf hours with a fixed overlap window for US clients, agreed before the project starts. You talk to the engineers doing the work, and nobody is swapped without your OK.
